#fantasy high #riz gukgak #kristen applebees #gorgug thistlespring #adaine abernant #fabian seacaster #figueroth faeth #the bad kids #half tempted to say these names are forum handles they use so much it pretty much became their professional names lol #I keep them teenagers bc its funnier that way #no real lore I just like drawing this. but I do think abt how theyre all weirdos too also bc thats funny to me #riz is a huge conspiracyhead who does everything by hands. he has a casio fx-570 in mint condition. nobody knows how he's maintaining it #he is nonetheless Really Good at his job. which somewhat tracks bc it's a job that requires keeping up with interstation conflicts #and new policies and an obsessive amount of planning. but he is Too Good at it. and also he dresses like that #kristen has the atomic engine that theoretically lets her unmake and remake matters with her mind. but it consumes a huge amount #of energy so it's mostly useless. she's still a cult survivor also #gorgug lives his entire life on a ship with his parents who quit a cushy deal maintaining a space station bc he wouldn't be allowed on #the low gravity let him grow very tall but also his oxygen saturation is pretty bad so he's got breathing support #fig is a robot who just found out she's a robot like two months ago. she's been assuming everyone's a robot like her and she's been feeling #very betrayed by her mom lying about that part. she's on a body mod spree which is rough bc system-specific parts are expensive #and so is adapting random parts to her system #fabian's still a pirate captain's son. can't say anything that'd be able to get the vibes across clearer than that #adaine went to tech/business school. she put her monthly allowance towards an ecoterrorist group in her academy which turned out to be an o #and she's currently wanted by UTS. more than fabian. which makes him slightly mad #she's also acquired a passion for low-tech weaponry on the way. she likes ice picks and cleavers #I think up all of this for no reason except that once again the idea of all these people being 1/teens and 2/on the same ship to be posties #is hilarious to me. esp. if they were in a forum group chat beforehand

I've been meaning to do style studies. Let's experiment.”#And the moment my pen hit my tablet I was struck by the need to make it even worse.#Perhaps I am just nostalgic for club penguin and pengu but I think there is something magical about them holding hands.#Anyways I think younger WWX would have loved club penguin. It's the joy of the minigames and hanging out with your friends online.#Lan Wangji could never get past the fact the 'Ask your parent/guardian!' part of registration.#Either because he knew Lan Qiren would have said no *or* because he asked once and got turned down.#Lan Xichen probably was like 'Hey I can help you with that :)' to which LWJ said no because that was breaking the rules.#But if I *had* to put wangxian in a club penguin AU? Yeah 1000% it's LWJ as a mod and WWX as a notorious (nootorious) griefer.#WWX would be trying to speed run how fast he can get banned or how much he can get away with.#Getting removed and returning over and over earns him the 'necromancer of CP' title in the community. Something I really like about timebomb is that Ekko actually knows what he's getting into.

I'm not really seeing it get talked about but in season 1 they mention that Ekko and the firelights help people addicted to shimmer get off it and lead more fulfilling lives within the community. I should probably rewatch the scene for the exact wording (might be misremembering tbh) but that comment implies A LOT.

First: Ekko's mission is helping people where he can, he would probably try and help Jinx even if he wasn't in love with her

Second: He has experience dealing with severe mental illness as that often goes hand in hand with drug abuse, namely depression/suicidal ideation like what Jinx was exhibiting

Third: He's probably mapped out best course of action FOR dealing with this and has already figured out his own limits/boundaries. Meaning he knew what he was getting into trying to talk Jinx out of suicide, and was thus more equipped to deal with the aftermath

Fourth: He's probably helped ex members of Silco's gang. The firelights seem to have a theme of healing and repairing and recovering, so they've probably also learned to forgive. If they're mission is to rebuild the lanes into a safe space, they can't exclude people they don't like, they have to make room for them. I think they fought Silco out of necessity, and I doubt Jinx would be the first person they help who's killed one of them.

These all might be a bit of a stretch but I think it really fits. Beyond that, it shows that Ekko can ACTUALLY help Jinx. As much as unconditional love can do, Ekko has the tools for Jinx's recovery and a path ready for her. He also probably knows that her "healthy" will look different from AU Powder's "healthy." On top of that, I expect he knows how to respect her even in the middle of psychotic breaks and won't agitate her already frail mental state

I can think of nothing but Arcane atm #timebomb #ekko arcane #putting it in the tags bc I want to let people agree with my timebomb takes without having to listen to my other ship opinions #uh on that note I have some Caitlyn and Vi opinions that go a bit hand in hand with this #but I think that in contrast Caitlyn and Vi are mutually self destructive #see neither of them seem to make the others mental health... better.#Vi is desperate and needs love wherever she can get it #and Caitlyn... I'm not sure. I have a hard time reading her but a lot of the vibes I get off her feel like she just likes having the power #over vi #I KNOW THAT'S A STRONG CLAIM #hear me out #Vi in her search for unconditional love does a lot of enabling #a good example is when Caitlyn arrests that henchman in episode 3(?)#Vi is VISIBLY uncomfortable with that and for good reason!#Caitlyn just locked someone up for life for... nothing?#kinda like Marcus did to her (yes Marcus was trying to protect her but I doubt that's how Vi sees it)#but Vi doesn't voice this or push Caitlyn on it #instead she asks Caitlyn not to change #not great communication on Vi's part #but also indicative of how little their values align #and how little Caitlyn actually considers Vi and her problems and history #Caitlyn doesn't help Vi heal and she turns on Vi the second Vi stops enabling her and letting Caitlyn do as she thinks is best #neither of them are ready to deal with the others problems or communicate well #again. willing to discuss this. my opinions are swayable.#I just personally found Caitlyn made the most sense and was most compelling when she was going down facist dictator path #sure she could be more but I don't think the show ever really transitioned her away from that #you can see it in the way she treats Maddy #hhhhhh I should go to bed rather than spill every last thought I've ever had

#dandy's doodles #inanimate insanity #ii #ii steve cobs #ii mephone #ii spoilers #ii 16 spoilers #objectober #objectober 2024 #okay i'll be honest. the final drawing barely fits the prompt #however! it was inspired by it #'internet' immediately made me think of 'welcome to the internet' by bo burnham #and my mind instantly jumped to 'and it did all the things we designed it to do'#and y'know... steve cobs designed mephone to be able to create things #and so in a way mephone is fulfilling his purpose by creating the contestants #he's fulfilling his purpose by doing what his dad did #and then that made me think of the garden of eden story #where god creates both adam and the tree of knowledge #he tells adam not to eat its fruit and yet adam inevitably does; thus adam gains free will #and one has to wonder if that was god's intention all along - for humans to have free will #whereby adam - through the apparent defiance of god - is able to become exactly what he was created for #and y'know... mephone making his show as a rebellion against cobs...#only for that very show to be a creation borne of his intended purpose #so yeah. my mind jumped from bo burnham to the biblical creation of man #anyway!! very very happy with how this turned out #my favorite part is the charger snakes. i'm so glad i came up with that idea #also cobs' arm! that turned out really well! i referenced my own hand for his!!#in any event... it turns out i really really like biblical imagery and symbolism huh #also yes i did stay up all night like a maniac drawing this. the idea came to me and i just had to see it through :D i'm glad i did

#batman beyond #batman #terry mcginnis #I am doing my yearly rewatch to stave off a total collapse of the flesh vessel and wow #Terry kills so many fucking people in Season 1 #even the people who he turns out to not have actually killed like...a reasonable person would think they were dead #there's no fucking way that Terry didn't shatter Inque thinking she would die. he killed the Terrific Trio in Heroes like yeah they #were dying anyways but that's like saying 'oh yeah I stabbed a terminally ill person but that's not murder bc they were dying'#he 100% killed/intended to kill at least like 5 people in the pilot ALONE #and Bruce just...doesn't say shit. he's like 'welp that's Terry I guess. he doesn't follow the same code as me'#On one hand that is a fascinating way to show how Bruce has become even more jaded and borderline apathetic to the evils of #the world (as also shown with his inaction towards Powers and general retreat from everything). On the other...what the hell #I want a Batman Beyond remake for so many reasons and one of them is because I feel like a more traditional plot structure #would further make this part of Terry's version of Batman really interesting as a drama driver
